As we strive to create art in this challenging time the health and safety are vitally important. At MSJ Theatre Arts we had many safety procedures in place. For starters, we complied with health and safety guidelines as set out by Mount St. Joseph University and the CDC. In our rehearsal, we instituted regular hand and surface cleansing. As noted in several studies regarding the performing arts, we limited our active rehearsal time to 30-minute blocks. After each 30 minute intervals, the actor in the space station (tent) would vacate the space while a HEPA filter was run in the space. [Following the manufacturer's specifications for ACR (Air Change Rate)]. As you might have noticed, all the characters seen in the episode interacted with our Astronaut Robbie through Zoom. This not only emulates what it might be like for a person isolated in space but kept our actors safe. The only crew present included the director and stage manager who remained outside the tent, and masked.

When both actors were in the tent both actors were masked. TP always remains masked in the tent. Robbie appears un-masked only when solo, and only following at least one air change. The only crew present included the director and stage manager who remained outside the tent, and masked.
